Hot Dogs: Meat Linked to Heart Disease

Yesterday we mentioned in a recent post that certain foods are bad for us, the latest is that the meat in hot dogs and other processed meats increases the risk of heart disease and diabetes. For those who love bacon and ham will be upset that these foods is also on the danger list. We thought we would carry out a poll, to see if you will change your eating habits after this news.

Thankfully unprocessed meat does not run the risk of giving you heart disease, so beef, pork and lamb are safe. According to a Neka Sehgal who has written an article on The Money Times, he explains that the latest research states that red meats are much safer for us to eat.

In the report, it shows that for those who have more than 50 grams of processed meat a day were 42 percent more likely to develop heart disease. Not only that, you were also 19 percent more likely to develop diabetes.
