Verizon 4G LTE: New Handsets and Android Tablet by 2011

By Alan Ng - May 18, 2010

We have some exciting news to bring you now, especially if you are a Verizon customer, as their Chief Executive, Lowell McAdam has spoken in a recent interview, revealing that the company are planning to release a slew of Android-based handsets as well as a Tablet device by 2011.

As reported from BGR, a direct quote from McAdam in his interview with MSNBC confirms that as many as three to five Android handsets will be releasing on Verizon by May 2011. Better yet, these handsets will all be capable of running on their upcoming 4G LTE network.

If that wasn’t enough for you to get excited about, he also revealed that LG, Motorola, and Samsung are all battling it out to win the rights to manufacture their Android Tablet – also to be released during May 2011.

Three to five phones running 4G + Android 2.2 Froyo? Sounds pretty tasty to me. Let us know your thoughts on the news.
