Verizon HTC Droid Incredible: High Demand Since Release
By: Jamie Pert | May 17, 2010 | 3 CommentsThe HTC Droid Incredible is undoubtedly one of the phones to own in the current market, and it seems that demand is so high, that phone carrier Verizon are reporting that shipments are selling out.
In a previous post, we named the top 10 Android phones with the Droid Incredible topping the list at #1. And by the looks of things, we were not wrong.
Demand is so high for the handset, that the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible shipments to stores are all sold out within a matter of hours, and Verizon are having a hard time in keeping up with the demand.
According to Verizon Wireless CEO Loweel McAdam, the reason that Verizon cannot keep up with the demand is due to shortages for the phones OLED display, which is sourced from Samsung Electronics.
This is pretty harsh on the HTC Incredible, as it had a fantastic opening weekend which managed to shift around 100,000 units in two days.
Have you been able to get yourself a HTC Incredible? Or are you one of the unlucky ones who cannot seem to get one due to the shortages?
