Robot Conducts Wedding: Video shows I-Fairy Robot

Some bizarre news to report to you now, as it has been revealed that a robot acted as a priest at a wedding ceremony over in Tokyo, Japan. The happy couple had a robot called the ‘I-Fairy’ to thank for the happiest day in their lives.

As reported from HuffingtonPost, Japan is well known for producing highly advanced robotics, with the government actively supporting industries for future field growth.

One of those highly advanced robots was put into practice at the Hibiya Park in central Tokyo, where I-Fairly, complete with a wreath of flowers proceeded to wed the happy couple.

The wedding was witnessed by 50 guests, and they all clearly heard the robot say: “Please lift the bride’s veil.” Is this an interesting but somewhat ‘scary’ insight into the future to come?

Take a look at the video below to see the robot in action.
