Palm App Catalog Problems: Were You Affected by Outage?
By: Jamie Pert | May 17, 2010 | 2 Comments
We have recently heard that some Palm users experienced issues accessing webOS’s App Catalog this weekend, apparently the glitch completely locked users out of the application store.
At first users reported that downloaded applications would fail to install, Palm then investigated the issue, which resulted in some downtime for their App Catalog.
The problem is now fixed, however Palm have not revealed what exactly caused the problem, some experts believe it was a time and date-related bug, however this is unconfirmed.
At the moment there are only four Palm models which have access to the App Catalog, these are the Palm Pre, Palm Pixi, Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus, therefore the outage wouldn’t have been as widespread as an Android Marketplace outage could have been.
Were you affected by the outage? If so, are all problems now resolved? Feel free to add your comments below, also state where you were affected and what carrier you are with.
