A printer app for the owners of the iPhone, iPod Touch, and the iPad has just been updated. ACTPrinter 1.8 is an application that allows users to take all their documents with them.
Released by Houdah Software ACTPrinter brings to an end the endless printing of electronic tickets like boarding passes. Users can scan bar codes straight off the display of their iPod Touch or iPhone. Web pages, letters, and emails can be read by users on the go.
This latest update allows owners of the iPad forward PDFs to third party readers like GoodReader. With the option of sending a PDF from Dropbox this has the advantage of creating a local copy, this copy will remain available after the connection is cut.
Other feature highlights include; integration with Mac OS X PDF services, compatible with Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard, and easy setup.
ACTPrinter 1.8 is on the App Store for $0.99 and a free upgrade for existing users. Requires iPhone OS 3.1.3 or later, Mac with Airport card, Mac OS X Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard.
