Google Nexus One: Australian Release Date in June? – Rumor

By Alan Ng - May 13, 2010

We have some good news for consumers over in Australia now, as we are hearing rumors that Google may be planning to release their Google Nexus One handset in June.

As reported from Zdnet, rumors have surfaced from a blog in which a Vodafone representative has apparently confirmed that Google will be releasing the Nexus One smartphone either mid or late June.

Of course, this is pure speculation and may turn out to be false information, but there is no denying that a Nexus One release in Australia would be very welcomed. The HTC Desire with similar specs to the Nexus One was very well received in the country, Google are probably aware of this and should be looking to take advantage of the interest with their Nexus One.

We’ll update you when we hear more. Would you buy the Nexus One in Australia or not?

I have had a nexus for about two or three months, I live in australia, and I love it. I got it working in the three network. dont worry about the keyboard there are plenty of choices on the android market. it kills iphone 4. its fast and just a all round better phone.

I've had the G1 as well from optus but apparently the nexus one is missing the sexy keyboard which the G1 has but nonetheless it is way wayyyy wayyyyyyyy more faster and not to mention the new updates and what not coming along. Lets hope it comes to AU soon. Android ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
