Apple iPad Release for More Countries: Sales Spike

By Peter Chubb - May 9, 2010

We have mentioned on a number of occasions that the iPad will now be available to pre-order internationally from tomorrow – the Apple device has only been available to the U.S. However, with the release date for more countries now imminent we are sure to see a huge sales spike.

Apple has already seen record profits in its previous quarter and with the launch of the iPad to other countries and maybe a new iPhone 4G in June – the second half of 2010 is looking sweet for Apple.

Although Apple shares closed 25 cents lower on Thursday, we should not read too much into this as CEOWORLD magazine explains that the entire U.S. market dropped that day. Apple will not let that deter them, and Monday, 10th May will be the true test.

We touched on the subject that the iPad in the UK is more expensive than it is in the U.S. This is something that we have now come to expect – we are certain that this will have little effect on iPad sales.

The great thing about the international release of the iPad is the fact that the Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi and 3G versions will be available from the start. Visit our recent poll where we asked, “Will you buy at these prices tomorrow?
