Verizon iPhone: 4G Launch device – Release Date Summer?

We have an interesting article for you to read now, courtesy of Engadget, who have shared various tips they have aquired from Verizon employees regarding the highly anticipated iPhone 4G release.

According to their report, they reveal some very exciting details that you may want to take on board, the biggest being that an iPhone release on Verizon (if it were to happen), would be a LTE 4G launch device. What this means is that Apple’s handset will be ready to support 4G speeds straight out of the box, much like Sprint’s upcoming release of the HTC EVO 4G handset.

You may not believe this, but that is what their ‘tipsters’ have said, apparently. Furthermore, the Verizon iPhone will be landing sometime this Summer, possibly after the release of Verizon’s first commercial LTE network.

Don’t forget that the device has still had no official confirmation from either Apple or Verizon, but it is hard to ignore the rumors, especially since a new one seems to appear every week.

    The rumors may be true. However, these rumors would be a perfect way to subdue the publicity surrounding the HTC EVO 4G, and encourage "would-be" EVO 4Gers, to hold off for the Verizon IPhone. Once it comes out, it would matter less if it was 4G capable, seeing as the rumors would have had the desired effect of dampening the EVO 4G's coming out party. Only time will tell… Rumors true? Maybe. Rumors effective? Unequivocally!

    There is no iphone 4G, the iphone is not going to Verizon. At&t and Apples contract is good THROUGH 2011. This is nothing more than Verizon employees trying to stir things up, only when the info is hot about the EVO do we hear these ridiculous rumors.

    Dude…. seriously. Verizon is like 2 years off from even reaching close to Sprint's 4g network spread. (which isn't that great).

      Try a few months, unlike sprint, Verizon is waiting to have coverage before they launch. You can get a 4g phone from sprint, but no 4g network in major cities. 4g is a marketing ploy by sprint. Verizon will have a actual working 4g network when they launch 4G.
