iPhone 4G/HD: High Resolution Display is LCD – No AMOLED

If the iPhone 4G/HD rumors keep up at this rate, Apple will have nothing to show at WWDC 2010 we think. An Italian Blog is claiming that they have obtained the final frame and screen for the upcoming device, revealing that the iPhone 4G will have a higher resolution display than previous models.
As reported from RedmondPie, they also reveal that this screen they have obtained, is near identical to the prototype iPhone 4G device that tech site Gizmodo managed to obtain and review – before handing it back to Apple.
As for the screen, it has been confirmed as a higher resolution than the 3GS, but will be LCD based – not AMOLED has many of you had been hoping for. There is also confirmation (if you still need it) that the iPhone 4G will feature a front-facing camera for portrait photos and video chats.
Take a look at the pictures in the link above and let us know your thoughts on this. Do you think it is the real deal or not? Are you disappointed that the screen is LCD-based?
