iPhone 4G release and FTC inquiries

By Updated on

It has been reported that the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission may decide to investigate Apple over their decision to change the license agreement of their iPhone OS 4.0 SDK.

As reported from ZDNet, it is thought that Adobe requested this review, as they are still not happy over the way Apple treated them in relation to their Flash software.

As you probably know by now, the new changes prohibit developers from using cross-compilers to create apps for the iPhone, which means that a key feature of Adobe’s CS5 software is somewhat useless at the moment.

It will be interesting to see what the government make of Apple’s ongoing battle with Adobe and what action they may decide to take against Apple.

Will this affect the release of the iPhone 4G, if Adobe are granted access to cross-compilers? Read the full article over at ZDNet and give us your thoughts on this.
