Call of Duty: Black Ops – Nintendo Wii Release Doubtful

When Activision published Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 pretty much every gamer out there was happy as it came to all major platforms, these platforms included Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PC, however Wii gamers had to make do with a far less enjoyable game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Reflex.

It seems as if a Wii released of Call of Duty: Black Ops is looking extremely unlikely, at the moment these rumors are unconfirmed, however if you check out GameStop’s pre-order listings there is no Wii version despite Xbox 360, PS3 and PC pre-orders are already being taken.

This doesn’t completely rule out a Wii version, however the graphical and online experience offered by the Wii does not really compare to the high-end PCs and games consoles of today.

    Of course it should. As long as it has the same features, that’s what makes the game enjoyable. Wii fans learned to care less about graphics as long as the features are equal to the higher compact consoles.

    What since when was every gamer especially pc happy with the game as it is or was-Rubish-absolute rublish -in pc Lag and Hacks have been a massive problem and a cause of much angst for almost all pc gamers-if the next cod has an iw.net interface you will find pc purchases for this title will be drasticly reduced,in fact activision is on my no go list for the foreseeable future all titles inclusive.

    Those Bunch of muppets at activision and infinity ward have no idea what MW 2 could have been on PC and destoried any real sense of community and the oppertunately to competitively play this game.

    what CoD said is right i like the wii just as much as my ps3 i play cod mwr more than i play cod mw2 so yeh duh it should be but it will probally be after the other consoles but i dont care

    The should make a the new call of duty, but I wonder, will they end up make mw2 or still black ops. I am excited to play with some of the mw2 features, but I would also like to be getting the same game as xbox and ps3 owners are. I am tired of discussing games that are old to others. Wii needs to catch up, and guys just because wii is not advanced gaming, does not mean that it is not as fun as any other system. I settled for a wii, and I am glad I did, don't knock it till you try it.

    Actuay, it's been confirmed, it WILL be out for the Wii. I was just about to pre-order it, $49.99 for the Wii, $59.99 for all other console, I think you know what that means, a one or two feature will be cut…

    They can’t make one for the wii it will just blow the controlers suck for aiming (the 6axis controlers for ps3 works the same as well) black ops is going to be by treyarch like WAW and MW3 will be by infinity ward

      well at you move a little than just using a knob, its pretty fun if you think about it, although graphics suck, as long as you have a good time thats whats important about this, if you were to start to play old cod versions on your 360 you'd think to yourself "damn graphics here werent that great as they are now, but i still like the game" thats what we want, agame we can playback a few times

    Treayach have confirmed on the OFFICIAL black ops website that indeed there will be a game on the Wii, and they will be pushing the graphics on the console with a lower quality version graphic wise. All campaign modes are the same but, there still hasn't been word on the online game-play if the Wii version will be close to or the same as the other stronger consoles.

    firstly id like to protest at this article. the MWR was not a "far less enjoyable game" than the 360/ps3/pc versions, and it definitely doesnt offer a worse online experience. it may have worse graphics and lacks a splitscreen mode and voice chat, but the rest of the game is 100% faithful to the original. in my opinion it is a far MORE enjoyable game – motion controls > analog sticks. it may be more difficult, but its much more fun, and the realism of actually pointing and shooting far overcomes the lack of realism in the graphics.

    MWR included all game modes of MW for other consoles, Black Ops will probably do the same. It will also support voice chat as Treyarch is working WITH nintendo on an actual head-set for online gaming. I happen to just enjoy the controls for FPS on Wii. Actually pointing and shooting feels more satisfying then twiddling my thumbs. Sure a mouse and keyboard make things EASIER when it comes to shooters, but why that has become the "definitive FPS platform" is far beyond me as easier is the only difference I've really notice in terms of actual gameplay.

    Costco is selling Wii version and 49$ at best buy online
    and I agree i have the rifle gun and i find it much more realistic then just thumb action
    for other console .. I have the high def cable and find graphics great for a 480p…
    but I also can't wait the next generation consoles to come out in 2011 and 2012

    dude, i play on wiii and it suks that cod6 is not even out, at least release black ops, that would be good. who cares about the graphics, as long as the game is avqlable, thats fine.

    Just So Everyone Knows, There Is Going To Be A Wii Version Of Call Of Duty Black Ops. It Even Shows It On Nintendo.com. Just Look It Up. Their Also Releasing It For DS Some Time Later. When The Wii Version Of COD World At War Was Released, They Didn't Have Nazi Zombies/Local Multiplayer Because They Didn't Have Enough Time To Program those Features. They Just Released It At The Same Time As The PS3 version And The Xbox 360 Version. But This Time, They're going to Spend More Time On Call Of Duty Black Ops For Wii So They can Make It Just As Simular To The Other Versions.
