Bungie: Action RPG on Xbox 360, PS3 – Your Thoughts?

We have some exciting news for gamers out there, as speculation is mounting that Bungie’s unannounced new IP will be an Action RPG affair. What are your thoughts on the possibility of this?
As reported from VG247, Bungie’s first title with Activision is likely to be a multiplatform game. Although Activision will have publishing and distribution rights to the new IP, Bungie will maintain full control of it – unlike the fiasco with Modern Warfare and Infinity Ward.
As for the new game, a recent job listing on Bungie’s website revealed that the company are currently seeking for a writer with “branching or non-linear narrative experience” as one of the requirements.
VG247 hint that Bungie’s ‘action RPG’ could be in a similar style to Mass Effect 2 or Deus Ex – so it is very exciting news indeed.
Would you welcome an action RPG from Bungie or do you have other ideas?
