Following on from our recent report regarding Toyota’s recall on it’s Lexus GX 460, sales that had previously been halted have now resumed for the troubled luxury utility vehicle.

After the issues over stability during “Throttle Lift Off”, Toyota issued a software update. According to a report by AutoBlog, a statement released from Lexus Group’s Vice President says that Toyota’s engineers had developed a remedy for the fault.

Toyota dealers have now begun contacting customers in order to update their vehicles software. The reprogram is expected to take a week, if customers do not wish to drive their GX to the dealer they will be able to get a courtesy vehicle with no charge.
