There have been claims that LG Innotek will make the camera for the iPhone 4G, reports say that the consumer electronics maker has already started making the 5-megapixel camera for the fourth-generation iPhone from Apple. The news report states that LG already started production this month and will increase production in the second half of the year.
Electronista reports that a Korean newspaper said that reports that an OmniVision sensor would be used could still turn out to be true, with LG still making the complete camera. News of a camera upgrade in the iPhone will certainly help win a few more fans, and will put it on par with the Google Nexus One.
The Droid Incredible, which was released today, has an 8-megapixel camera, but it is the rumored OmniVision sensor in the iPhone that will make it perform much better than most other camera phones on the market. This is because the sensor produces low noise and increased sensitivity. We now wait until WWDC 2010, which is when we hope that Steve Jobs will announce the new iPhone 4G.
What kind of camera would you like to see in the iPhone 4G?
