Silent Hill: Next Game Will Be FPS / First-Person Shooter – Rumor

By Jamie Pert - Apr 22, 2010

If you have been a fan of previous Silent Hill games you may be frustrated with this latest rumor, apparently the next Silent Hill game may be a FPS / First-Person Shooter, instead of the third-person perspective we have seen since the first-ever Silent Hill video game was released.

Recently GameRep reported that Vatra Games are working on a Silent Hill 6 FPS, this game would potentially launch in early 2011 and will be coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

All other Silent Hill games have been developed by Konami, however this game will be developed by Vatra Games, currently Vatra are a bit of an unknown entity so we will have to see how they do before we judge them.

At the moment there is no official confirmation that the game will edge away from its third-person perspective style, therefore as more news comes in we will keep you posted, for more details check out 1UP.

Are your frustrated to hear that Silent Hill 6 could well be a FPS?

There is misinformation in this article. All Silent Hill Games up until Silent Hill 4: The Room were developed by Konami's internal studio, Team Silent. Since that game the following Silent Hill titles have been developed by Climax and Double Helix.
