Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull Volcano: 3 Game Events Cancelled

By Alan Ng - Apr 22, 2010

Yesterday we told you that the highly anticipated reveal of EA’s BulletStorm game had been delayed as a result of the Eyjafjallajokull Volcano in Iceland, but now we have more bad news to share with you.

As reported from Eurogamer, Capcom has confirmed that two of their developers from Japan will be unable to attend a special event in London for Monster Hunter: Tri tomorrow. Instead, Capcom will call upon the services of two other members of the team who will be on hand to give out goodies to the first 100 people arriving at the GAME store in Oxford Street.

If that wasn’t bad enough, we can also confirm that a special Alan Wake event that was scheduled for this Saturday at the Broadway cinema, in Nottingham, UK has also been cancelled. Sam Lake is a writer for the upcoming thriller and was due to attend the event, but can’t catch a flight from Finland to the UK.

So in a space of a week, the volcano and it’s best friend – the ash cloud, have managed to cancel three pretty important gaming dates. Let us know how you feel about that.
