Dell Flash: Detailed Look At Specs, Android 2.2 Froyo AT&T Smartphone

By Jamie Pert - Apr 22, 2010

Earlier on today we posted an article introducing you to three new Dell smartphones, these are the Dell Flash, Lightning and Thunder, in our earlier article we promised to have a closer look at all handset and post detailed information about them, we will start by looking at the Dell Flash.

The Dell Flash will feature a 3.5 inch display and has a pretty small form-factor, apparently it is made from a piece of curved glass, this gives it a very sleek and stylish look.

The handset will run Google Android 2.2 (Froyo) and will feature a 5 megapixel camera, this camera has an LED flash and also features auto focus. In terms of performance it should be no slouch, the Android OS will be pretty snappy thanks to 512MB of RAM and an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM 7230 processor.

Other things worth a mention include its 512MB ROM, TV-out, virtual keyboard, handwriting recognition, microSD memory card slot (up to 64GB supported), Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The UI will be the same custom interface which they have previously used on the Streak, it will be interesting to see how this minimal UI compares to the successful HTC Sense UI.

From what we can see this handset will hit AT&T in early 2011, as we find out more we will keep you posted, for more information and a large photo of the handset check out the link below.
