Apple iPad (3G and WiFi): UK Price Revealed – £599 / £679

By Alan Ng - Apr 20, 2010

We are not sure when Apple were planning to disclose official pricing for the iPad in the UK, since the device was delayed until the end of May, but one authorised Apple seller has jumped the gun anyway, revealing full pricing for both models.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, that retailer is Gibraltar-based ‘Newton Store’, who have listed pricing for both the WiFi and 3G versions of the iPad on their website.

The 16GB WiFi model will cost UK consumers £599, while the 32GB 3G version will set you back a hefty £679. For those of you looking to pick up the most expensive 64GB 3G model, look away now – as you’ll have to fork out £749 for that privilege.

What are your immediate thoughts to the pricing? We expected the prices to come up compared to US prices since they pay no tax, but did you expect the prices to be this high?

You can see their website here for more details. We’ll update you when we know more.

Who said the prices on the Newton website were for the UK? The prices were in Sterling because that's the currency used in Gibraltar!
