Nokia N86 8MP: New Update Details

If you recently installed firmware version 30.009 on your Nokia N86 you may be wondering what was included in the large 142MB update, a recent article posted on IntoMobile lists exactly what was included.

It sounds like the update is well worth installing, it includes Ovi Maps 3.3 (which now features free navigation), also RealPlayer should be more user-friendly as there have been some interface tweaks made. One other new feature is location sharing via Facebook.

As you would expect the general performance and stability of the handset should be improved thanks to some tweaks and bug fixes, a lot of these fixes will be noticeable when using Nokia Messaging.

There are two ways of updating your N86, you can either perform an over-the-air update or use Nokia Software Update. As the download is so large we recommend using the PC software as it could be a long and expensive download via your carrier’s data network.
