Apple respond to iPhone 4G leak on Twitter (Rumor)

By Alan Ng - Apr 20, 2010

Apple’s SVP of Industrial Design has already used his Twitter account to state just exactly what everyone is thinking on Apple’s behalf. In the last hour or so, Jonathan Ive has stated: ‘This isn’t good’. Do bear in mind, that his Twitter account has not been verified yet.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, he is probably, almost certainly referring to Gizmodo’s exclusive first review of Apple’s upcoming device, as they somehow managed to obtain the device, posting up detailed information, hardware specs, pictures and videos along with it.

It does look likely now, that this is no hoax, and Apple’s best kept secret has indeed been leaked, some two months before an expected announcement at WWDC 2010 in June.

What are your thoughts on this? There is no question that the device itself is looking great, especially the all-flat surface on the back. Don’t forget though, this missing device could well be a prototype, so the final product from Apple could look a bit different.

Can't call myself an Apple lover, but I do know that they work with the precision of a well-oiled machine, and wouldn't let an accident like this happen. Story would be more believable if it was stolen, their servers hacked, a conference secretly taped etc. so an employee could make some $$ off leaking the secret. Anyway, that would be much more believable than "Oops! Someone left it at a bar!"

Or, a great disinformation stunt. Things rarely happen by accident.
