YouTube Users: Did you upgrade to Adobe Flash Player 10?

By Posted 16 Apr 2010, 12:11

Earlier on, we posted an article about how YouTube users were experiencing problems when trying to watch videos on the website. It was thought that a recent YouTube update to Adobe Flash 10 was the main issue, but the service is working just as it did before for others.

I had a look at some videos on the website, and I can tell you that I was not prompted with the update message like some of you were. I was able to watch videos with no problems whatsoever.

The problem should be fixed for most of you I’m guessing, after heading to Adobe’s website to download the latest version.

Let us know what kind of problems you were facing. Did you get the message, or was everything working as normal anyway? You can read our previous article here for more details on the changes.

On April 15 2010 my videos would not play on YouTube. I did det the promp to upgrade and I did but it took a long time. After the ugrade was done, it stated that it was installed but the window stayed up and my computer modem was still flashing like it was going to do something eles. After a hals hourr of that and nothing else happened, I finally closed the upfrade out myself and it stated that he upgrade was succesfull.
Then I could watch all videos like normal again. I did notice that my Adobe Reader 9 ICON did not chabe, I was wondering should it of changed the ICON to a updated or an ugraded version?

Can anyone tell me if I am OK or should the ICON of changed?

Like I mentioned, eveything on YouTube is working fine now.

I hope this info helps some of you.

    Thanks from onemellowdude.
