We have some good news for fans of ‘R-Type’ style retro shooters, as we can confirm that 2D shooter Soldner-X2: Final Prototype is heading to the PS3 sometime in May.
As reported from Eurogamer, X2 is the sequel game to the 2008 game titled Soldner-X: Himmelssturmer. For those of you who played the first game, you’ll be pleased to know that X2 features 1080p graphics, online rankings and a new chaining and fourfold chaser system.
We’ve seen the trailer and it certainly looks good. This may not appeal to everyone, but if you like your old school shooters like a lot of gamers do, then Soldner-X 2 is looking pretty good.
