Apple iAds: Greedy or Good for Consumers?

As you may already be aware Apple’s App Store is the most successful mobile device application marketplace of all time, however Apple are still looking at ways to improve the profitability of the App Store, they hope to do this with their new iAds platform.

When iAds launches it will bring more income to Apple in two ways, developers will have to pay Apple to use advertise using iAds, not only this but Apple make money from every App Store purchase.

It is thought that iAds will be rolled out when Apple launch iPhone OS 4.0, therefore it will be interesting to see how consumers react to the new form of advertising.

Do you think Apple are doing this to improve the overall “App Store experience”, or do you think they are just doing this to make more money?
