Verizon iPhone: Why is Apple so loyal to AT&T?

So much has been discussed over the past three years over the possibility of a Verizon iPhone. A week does not go by when we hear that the Verizon Apple iPhone is coming soon, only for analysts to make contradictions against the claims. We wonder if The Big Red customers are starting to give up on the idea of getting the best selling smartphone?

It is no secret that AT&T currently have the iPhone exclusivity deal with Apple over the iPhone, we have started to wonder why Apple is so loyal to them. If you do not think the same as we do – then how come the iPad has also been offered to AT&T?

There has to be a reason for it, maybe it was to do with Verizon making too many demands back in 2007 when the original iPhone was launched. We wonder if Verizon knew what they know now – they would change their mind and bend over backwards for Apple?

Apple does not seem to be in any rush to get the iPhone on another carrier in the U.S., which we find very strange. Although profits are very good, just imagine what message it would send to rivals if the iPhone had an almost instant increase in sales. This would then lead into a greater market share than the current 27 percent- maybe even putting the squeeze on RIM’s BlackBerry handsets, who are the current market leaders.
