HTC Incredible: Specs or Apps – What’s more important?

By Alan Ng - Apr 13, 2010

Following on from the equipment guide leak for the HTC Incredible, which gave everyone a full heads up on what specs the handset will possess, we want to know what you are more concerned about within the Incredible – Specs or Apps.

If the rumored spec sheet is legit, then it looks like the HTC Incredible is the perfect handset, and the phone that Verizon customers have been dying out for after the Motorola DROID.

Compared to the likes of the Nexus One, HTC Desire and HTC Legend, the Incredible seems to trump each and every one of them on a specs front.

But are you buying the Incredible purely based on its awesome specs, or are you more interested on the App potential of the handset?

The Incredible should be able to handle the most demanding of Apps due to it’s impressive list of specs, such as an 8 megapixel camera, Accelerometer and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The handset will also run on Android 2.1, with Sense UI to top things off.

Once the device is actually released on Verizon, I think it has the potential to hold its own against the likes of the iPhone 4G and Microsoft’s upcoming lineup of Windows Phone 7 handsets.

Let us know your thoughts on this. What is more important – Specs or Apps?

"Compared to the likes of the Nexus One, HTC Desire and HTC Legend, the Incredible seems to trump each and every one of them on a specs front."

Really? Care to list the specs that are "trumped" by the Incredible (other than the camera), in relation to the N1 and the Desire? Same CPU, same RAM/ROM (the 8G internal is on an included Micro SD, like the other phones), same screen, same 3G/WiFi/GPS, same Android 2.1, same HTC Sense as the Desire, same same same. It's an HTC Desire for the american market and the only bump is in the Camera. In fact, the battery is SMALLER on the incredible (1300mah) than the Desire and N1 (1400mah).
