Modern Warfare 2 was an ‘immense disappointment’ – Crysis 2 writer

Well here is some interesting comments for you to take on board. Crysis 2 writer Richard Morgan has stated that Modern Warfare 2 – one of the most successful games of all time, was an ‘immense disappointment’.

As reported from Eurogamer, Morgan was speaking in a recent interview with CVG when he made the surprising attack.

He explained how the guys over at Infinity Ward were ‘over confident’ with themselves and had this to say about MW2′s campaign mode:

“[The storyline] made no sense. It was totally implausible. It doesn’t resolve. Basically, all the things that bad storytelling does. I just think they were way too impressed with themselves and that’s always a danger.”

Furthermore, he believes that the story mode in MW2 is ‘worse’ than the campaign in COD4, adding that it is basically comprised of ‘a bunch of mission levels’.

    Yes the campaign is horrible, it made absolutely no sense at all. The COD 4 campaign was light years ahead of the MW2 campaign.
