Chevrolet reveal Irmscher Edition of Cruze RS

General Motors have knocked on the door of in house tuning division Irmscher to produce a sporty version of their Chevrolet Cruze. With the North American customers able to order their Cruze with the optional RS sports pack that was shown at the New York Auto Show when it finally comes on sale, GM decided that the Europeans deserved a piece of the action.

According to AutoBlog, Irmscher got to work on the Cruze by first dropping its ride height by 25mm with lowered suspension before squeezing some rather large 18-inch turbine style alloys. To help give the Cruze some go with its show a free flowing exhaust has been bolted to the 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine to boost power up to 186 horsepower, this in turn drops the 0-62 mph time to eight seconds flat.

With the new Irmscher Edition revealed at the AMI show in Germany, the German buyers will be able to order the special direct from their Chevrolet dealers. Take a look at the link for more pictures of this new hot Cruze and give us your opinion.
