iPhone HD/4G and OS 4.0: Apple changes the mobile industry

By Alan Ng - Apr 11, 2010

For those of you planning to pick up the next version of the iPhone 4G, or iPhone HD as it has also been called, we have an interesting article for you to take a look at, which states five reasons why Apple’s OS 4.0 software will change the mobile industry.

The article comes from Computer World, who have given us five things about iPhone OS 4.0 that is set to shape up the mobile industry when it is released to consumers this Summer.

The first and most obvious is multitasking. iPhone owners have longed to have this feature included on their handsets for some time now, so the ability to run multiple third-party apps in the background using the slick interface showed off last week, is surely a pleasing thing.

Another huge addition to OS 4.0 is the improved Enterprise features, with Apple looking to address most of the core issues that were present in previous editions of the OS.

If you are interested in hearing more about other OS 4.0 features such as Bluetooth keyboard support, iAds and revamped mail, check out the full article over at Computer World.

Which feature out of the five do you think will be a ‘game changer’ for the mobile industry? Let us know your thoughts on this.
