We know that Crysis 2 is shaping up to be one of the most impressive console games from a graphical point of view, but does it have the ability to stand up against the likes of Uncharted 2 or God Of War III?
As reported from VG247, Crytek thinks it does, as they have recently stated that the PS3 version of Crysis 2 will set the ‘benchmark’ for graphics on the console.
One of the developers at Crytek, Michael Gluck, had this to say on the matter: “I think with Crysis 2 you will see the quality bar being set at a very high level that games will struggle to excel. We’re aiming to set a whole new benchmark with that game for all PS3 games.”
As far as most PS3 gamers are concerned, Uncharted 2 remains the one to beat in terms of graphics. It will be interesting to see how close Crysis 2 gets to the game once it is released this year.
More from Gluck through the link. Let us know thoughts on this. Does Crysis 2 have the potential?
