Apple iPad Wi-Fi Problems: How to fix

The launch of the Apple iPad could not have gone better, more than 300,000 units were sold in its first day. However, there is something very wrong with a number of these tablet devices as they are suffering from Wi-Fi problems. For those who have been effected by this, please read how to fix this below.

It seems that iPad owners are able to get a Wi-Fi connection, but are unable to keep it. On the Apple Forum, there is a thread called “Weak Wi-Fi Pages”, this has now received more than 10,000 views. Do not think that by moving closer will help, some people have been standing right next to their router, and still unable to connect.

Wi-Fi routers that seem to be suffering from these connection issues are those that offer both 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands. Below is a list of things that you can do to try and help keep a Wi-Fi connection:

  • Change The Router’s Location
  • Change Your Router’s Security Encryption
  • Rename Your Networks
  • Set Your Router To Operate On One 802.11 Standard
  • Update Your Router’s Firmware
