Apple iPad: Bidding wars start on Ebay

It has been reported that hundreds of genuine Apple iPad tablets have gone on sale online at Ebay – sparking a huge bidding war amongst eager shoppers looking to pick up one at a bargain price.
As reported from ITProPortal, the iPad is only available to customers in the US at the moment, meaning that those of you trying to get online early, will most likely to have to pay higher than the current retail price that Apple offers.
The cheapest option for the iPad, is the 16gb version, priced at $499. However on Ebay, one of those models went for $590 with free delivery, meaning that sellers can look to make a nice profit on each iPad sold.
From the shoppers point of view, there is always the chance that you can prize away an iPad for a final price lower than retail, but chances of this happening are low due to the high demand for the device.
