Google Gains Edge Over iPad: Chrome OS Integrates Flash Player

We all know that Apple does not like Flash and much-prefers HTML5 – stating that it is less buggy. However, Google has announced its support for the Flash Player saying that they will integrate it as part of Chrome OS, which we covered in an article yesterday. If this is true, then this will allow Google to gain an advantage over the iPad.

Flash has always been the preferred option for most websites, with a select few opting for HTML5 now – although this is taking years to implement. Electronista learned from TechCrunch that they are not certain if Flash will be built-in to the first version of Chrome OS – due out later this year.

So why will Google gain an advantage over iPad we hear you ask? Well we know that Google aims to launch Google Chrome OS tablets – offering them Flash Player support from the start. Even though HTML5 is considered far superior than Flash, the former has years to go before ever catching up to the popularity of Flash – just go on Farmville and you will see what we mean.
