Web search accelerator for iPhone and iPod touch

We recently ran a story of ACTRocket 1.1, an app that speeded up the searching of web sites and search engines. The developers have now released a new version ACTRocket 1.3.

Houdah Software, have improved the app by adding six more web search sites and improved the startup speed. The app works by allowing users to do a fast web search, for a Google search of the word rocket they type in “g rocket”, for a Yahoo search “y rocket”. The app contains all the main search engines, and many popular web sites, but users can add their own favorites.

Other features of the app include an in built browser, search history, and search engine selection using shortcuts. ACTRocket 1.3 is only $0.99 on the App Store. Requires iPhone or iPod Touch with OS 3.1.2 or later.
