Verizon Nexus One, WiMax, Sprint and LTE/4G at CTIA 2010
By: Peter Chubb | March 23, 2010 | Leave a CommentToday is the start of CTIA Wireless 2010, which we mentioned in an article yesterday. From day one there will be a strong showing from the Verizon Nexus One, as well as HTC and Sprint showing off the HTC Supersonic – the new WiMAX Smartphone with LTE/4G.
According to Phones Review, Sprint will introduce the new HTC Supersonic, and explain in detail all of its features. But it is the fast Cleawire WiMAX mobile data service that we are interested in, which can also convert the Apple iPhone into 4G. (Watch the video)
The Verizon Nexus One that we mentioned above will be the CDMA version; Verizon users have been waiting months to get their hands on this Google Android handset – considered a vast improvement over the Motorola Droid.
LTE will be a topic of interest at CTIA 2010 today and tomorrow, Motorola, Aviat Networks, DesignArt Networks and Sequans Communications will all be offering us details of what they have planned for this newer faster mobile data technology.
