Backbreaker (American Football Video Game): Xbox 360 & PS3 Release Date

By Jamie Pert - Mar 23, 2010

Back in January we showed you a video trailer for the upcoming Backbreaker video game, at the time of our last post we were unaware of a release date, however we have finally heard confirmation via JoyStiq.

From what we can see the game will be launching in America for both Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 25th, however it is thought that Europeans will have to wait until around May 28th.

Backbreaker is being developed by NaturalMotion, one of their biggest claims to fame is that they developed the Euphoria engine, this was used in some of the Indiana Jones and Star Wars games, this engine was also featured in Grand Theft Auto IV and will be used in Backbreaker.

Do you think that Backbreaker will become an alternative to Madden NFL?

I think so. I am really looking forward to it. i am not sure about the camera angle but I am sure it's something you will get used.

The part I like is the use of physics in the players mechanics and tackles. No more scripted tackles ala madden.
