There is no denying that Google Android is a competent OS, but it is not without its faults. One of those is its native keyboard – with PC World calling it the pits. It is no secret that this area needs a vast improvement, as the keys are far to narrow – leading in errors when typing.
There is an answer though, ThickButtons for Android. This great new app helps to improve the touchscreen when typing – users will get an experience almost as good as the Apple iPhone, there is news that an audio text message feature is on the way.. It is hoped that this will give users error free texting.
The app is very simple in concept; there is only a certain amount of space on the screen so ThickButtons reduces the size of keys that it thinks will not be used – so it is predictive. Most other systems predict by word, not by letter as this app does.
ThickButtons works on all Android phones, such as the Google’s Nexus One and the T-Mobile myTouch 3G. PC World tried the app on both and was very pleased with how it performed. Read their full review of the app by clicking the website link.
