iPad Kindle app here: Barnes & Noble on way

April 3 is almost upon us, we know this by the amount of Apple iPad news out there, and the latest is that Amazon’s Kindle app is now available for the iPad tablet device. Early reports show that the latest gadget from Apple has better sales than the original iPhone did in its first three months of sales back in 2007.

If you thought that app was good news, then you will be happy to know that the Barnes & Noble app is on the way, Engadget learned this from the New York Times. The Kindle app for the iPad has undergone a major redesign – 14 developers have been hard at it since January to make certain that the application is ready for the iPad.

One of the coolest features on the Amazon Kindle app is how your books are presented to you as large icons, with an imposing image of a silhouetted figure under a tree. The sun on the app changes – depending on the time of day. Once Apple gives its approval, then the app will give the user access to the Kindle Store.

If you have to stop reading your eBook, the app will remember where you left off for you to carry on later. Let us hope that Apple say yes to the app, but we would not cont on it.
