CTIA 2010: Microsoft, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Palm, and loads more

Microsoft, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Motorola, Opera, Palm, Skype, along with a range of other mobile related companies, will have the chance to show off their latest applications and devices at the CTIA Wireless 2010 convention held in Las Vegas from 23rd-25th March.

Microsoft will be displaying its Windows Phone 7 Series smartphones with Sprint and HTC possibly showing a 4G-capable device. There is also likely to be discussions from AT&T and Verizon about the expansion of their networks. James Cameron “Avatar” director and AT&T’s CEO Randall Stephenson will also be there as featured speakers.

A joint press conference is planned for Verizon and Skype on March 23rd for the companies to show off Skype mobile on Verizon Blackberry and Google Android devices. With Palm suffering recent sales beatings, the company will host a booth at the show, and it is said that Verizon is to be followed by AT&T in offering Palm phones onto the market.
