Heavy Rain (PS3): Its not for Nintendo Wii owners

By Alan Ng - Mar 19, 2010

Heres some pretty interesting news for you to read now, as David Cage – writer for PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain has stated that he isn’t sure if gamers playing Nintendo Wii titles such as Wii Fit, would jump into a game such as Heavy Rain.

As reported from VG247, Cage was talking about how a lot of gamers jumped straight into the Wii because of Wii Fit, the same way many PS3 owners did the same because the PS3 has a Blu-Ray player.

A quote from him reads: ”Are they going to jump from Wii Fit to Heavy Rain? I’m not sure.”. What are your thoughts on this?

As a Wii owner, maybe you’d like to come out and make some sort of defence case for your console. On a side note, a patch for Heavy Rain is expected soon – read more details on that here.

OK look, people who are reading the above comments should NOT listen to them at all! This is by far the greatest game I've ever played! The game makes you interact with it for about 5 minutes before it gets to the real action, but it's only because they wnat you to know these characters and make you thinkl that this is no game, but reality. I'm pretty sure nobdy wakes up everyday to go shoot some guy standing next to you and moving on to go kill more people. Besides, the 5 boring minutes are just when you learn the controls, take Ethan's son home, and change a suicidal mother's baby's diper. NOT THAT TERRIBLE! THE BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED!

I own a Wii and Heavy Rain but my console won't seem to play it? Anyone know if Nintendo are going to releasse a patch to fix PS3 games not working on Wii?

Heavy Rain will NEVER come to Wii. Not the original, that's for sure. First of all, The graphics and size of the game would cause it to be heavily watered down. Second, Nintendo will not allow the release of this game on its system due to nudity and 3 sex scenes ingame. Nintendo has a rule against it for some reason.

I picked up a copy of Heavy Rain recently and was floored. The graphics are just as beautiful as the games long, drawn out daily-minutia activities are boring. Make sure the kid does his homework, change that diaper, open the fridge and get a glass of water, etc. While there are interesting/exciting areas of the game, it is essentially an interactive movie. Not only is this game NOT for Wii owners, it's also not really for anybody. Unless you were a HUGE fan of "Twin Peaks", I'd suggest not picking up. If you're curiosity gets the best of you, be prepared for an hour of boring, five minutes of action, then lather rinse repeat for the duration of the game. Compared to FF13, or GOW3, it's no contest. HR loses BIG TIME.This games only saving grace are the spectacular character models and textures. You've been warned! On a related note, FF13 and GOW3 are masterpieces. Much better buy for your money. I'd only suggest renting Heavy Rain,… if that.
