Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3): World Maps and Airships confirmed via Twitter
By: Alan Ng | March 18, 2010 | Leave a CommentWe have some good news for Final Fantasy fans now, particularly if you are disappointed with XIII, as director for Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Tetsuya Nomura, has confirmed that world maps and airships will play a big part in the game.
As reported from VG247, the director revealed the news on Twitter, when speaking in an interview with Square Enix producer Shinji Yoshimoto.
As most of you know, details on the game are incredibly sparse at the moment, with many gamers expecting some details to pour out of this year’s E3. Nomura didn’t reveal too much about the game itself, but did have this to say:
“Not everything is connected together, so the various areas have different levels of progress. However, you can fly across the world map in an air ship.”
So there we have it. Time to get excited perhaps? On a personal note, I think world maps are a key ingredient of Final Fantasy – it just doesnt feel the same without one.
