Uncharted 2: Among Thieves PS3: Wins 5 New Awards

By Jamie Pert - Mar 15, 2010

Recently at the Game Developers Choice Awards multiple awards were given out to some of the best games we have seen over the last year, however it was Naughty Dog’s PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves which stole the show.

In total the game won 5 new awards, these included ‘Game of the Year’, Best Audio, Best Technology, Best Visual Arts and Best Writing, one award it did miss out on was Best Design, this went to Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Obviously the biggest accomplishment here was the game of the year award, other nominees for this award were Assassin’s Creed II, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Demon’s Souls and Dragon Age: Origins, prior to this Uncharted 2 was already regarded by metacritic as their game of the year.

Other award winners at the show included 5th Cell’s “Scribblenauts”, Runic Games’ “Torchlight” and thatgamecompany’s free-flowing “Flower”, for more information regarding all of the awards check out the link below.

Well, Uncharted 2 deserved it though. But Half-Life 2(2004) is much more excellent than Uncharted 2. It has better technology than Uncharted 2 and better innovation. But still, Uncharted 2 rocks!

Actually, as much as I enjoyed HL2, for me, the very first half life was better. I have played HL1+2 many times, but I think the first was better.

      Still thats just me!

Well, what a surprise. A PS3 Exclusive bagging all those awards. ABSOLUTE TURD!!. Worst game ever! God Damn POS PShite game. Needs some Master Chief crammin’ up it’s ass! Yeeeaahh! Woot, Woot, ah, whatever.

Hows my 360 Fanboy impression coming along? Think it needs more teenage hormonal ‘Angry at my dad’ type of attitude.

Still it’s more then I could be bothered to attempt.
Now, seriously.. I played U1 about 18 months ago and thought it was top fun. It was an obvious move to get U2, and I wasn’t disapointed.

Naughty Dog have done it again. I’ve gushed a few times here about U2, and I don’t mean those nice musical chaps from Ireland.

It’s a really magnificent game. Visually spectacular, with script writing was more like a summer action blockbuster movie. OK, it didn’t do anything different to try to redefine a genre, but it takes the genre and polishes it to a very very high shine.

I’d suggest if you’ve played neither of the two games, I’d recommend starting with the first game. If you’ve played the first and not the second, what the hell are you reading my BS for? Get out there and buy it!

Though it’s not essential to play the first game, it does introduce you nicely to the characters, and it’s always nice to start at the beginning.

    Now, go play!
