Modern Warfare 2 DLC: Map Pack 1 price and details confirmed (Xbox 360)

We have some essential details for those of you planning to pick up the ‘Stimulus’ Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2 now, as Infinty Ward just confirmed a price, and full details of all the maps.

As reported from VG247, the pack will cost a hefty 1200 MS points, but will consist of 5 maps. It turns out that previous rumors were true, as two maps from COD4 will feature – these are Crash and Overgrown.

But there are three brand new maps that will be coming on March 30th – these are Bailout, Storm and Salvage. Head to the link above for a small description of each.

What are your thoughts on the price? Seems a bit expensive to us. Five maps will keep you busy for ages though, even if two of them are old ones.

        its not really ridiculous as you get 3 new maps and the best maps off of cod 4. 2 new guns, 2 new perks and lots of new game modes including: VIP and others.

      they are really laughing at us they up the price of mw2 knowing people will pay for the game and charge a hefty 1200 points for 3 new maps and 2 maps from an old game woulnt mind if the game itself wasnt so god damn laggy and ful of bugs!!!! carry on ripping us all off activision we're all mugs and will contunie to pay what ever price you ask for a game that just gets ablit updated every time its released mw2's crap all people do is camp or run around with double shotguns a load of crap im selling my copy you mugs carry on paying for this load of tripe.

      Why pay for more maps, if its more then 800MS points its not worth it, You can get Bad Company 2 and they got better maps then MW2 and they also give you a codee for free new maps when they come out, thats a better deal!

        Bad Company 2 sucks so hard! you can't lay down, it lags way worse than mw2, and the guns suck balls. the only cool thing about the entire game is that you have to aim up over distances to get head shots

      I think that its a good price, stop complaining that they're taking maps from COD4, because personally those are the best maps from COD4 and i would love for them to be on mw2 so i can enjoy them with mw2 multiplayer so stop complaining because most of you are going to buy it the second it comes out anyways, lol/.

      They are free to charge whatever they want. We are free to buy whatever we want or not buy anything. I personally love COD4 and MW2 but Battlefield 2 is more fun. I will continue to play MW2 but I don't think I will buy the maps. I'll get Battlefield 2's stuff instead.

      ok here is my opinion on the price of this new map pack. personally i think it is way over priced, but like supernags said they are free to charge whatever they want. i mean when it comes down to it, its really not that big of a deal, you go out and buy a 1600 point card for $20. buy the map pack and u still have 400 ms leftover for a movie or some gamerpics or something. i think most of the people really complaining are the younger kids without jobs, for me i have a job, so $20 isnt a problem for me.

      I think everyone should stop going on about how they are over priced, normally you get 3 maps we are getting 5 it does not matter where the hell they are coming from, they still had to make the MW1 maps from scratch to work with MW2 therefore costing them money and development time, if you don't like the price simply wait 3 months untill Microsoft & Infinity Ward lower the price down to 800 MSP or dig up that extra few pounds/dollars/whatever and buy them when they release. At the end of the day they are expecting over 2 million people to download them upon release, and fair enough they are going to make a hell of a lot of money off them (estimated 30 million GBP) the content looks very good with two of the maps being rather massive and one of them being small a little like rust but on one level

      Another thing is we are getting them before the PS3 thats another reason why the price is higher, it will of simply of been Micrsofot and Sony sat down making an offer and they would of took what ever one was higher so they would make the monst money, because at the end of the day they are a company and they want to make money.

      So its simple, buy it or don't but it; just cut out with the complaining. You didn't have the maps before and if you don't have them on March 30th then it doesn't make it anyless of the most selling game of the decade.

      the price is ridiculous. They created these maps before the game came out and just wanted to scrounge an extra £10 off us. It is barbaric expecting us to pay that much for a game which costs £40 in the first place
