Apple iPad: First day pre-order figures revealed
By: Alan Ng | March 15, 2010 | Leave a CommentSome interesting news for those of you who pre-ordered an iPad on Friday, as we have some estimated pre-order figures for you to take a look at, for the first day alone.
As reported from Apple Insider, Apple managed to shift an estimated 120,000 units, according to figures obtained by users over at the AAPL Sanity Board at Investor Village.
Of the 120,000 units achieved, 51,000 of them were managed in the first two hours on sale, although it is thought that sales of the iPad slowed considerably during Saturday and Sunday – to a rate of 1,000 per hour.
It will be interesting to see feedback from Apple themselves regarding the iPad pre-order weekend – and a confirmation on whether these estimated stats are true or not.
