GDC 2010: Playstation Move’s System Memory confirmed
By: Alan Ng | March 12, 2010 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that the upcoming release of Sony’s Playstation Move motion controller accessory, will not have a significant bearing on the system memory on the PS3 console.
As reported from Joystiq, Sony tech experts revealed the exact usage when speaking at the GDC event in San Francisco.
You’ll be pleased to know that Playstation Move will only require 1-2MB on the PS3′s system memory to operate – which is peanuts.
Sony also revealed that the Move’s image processing is handled by the Cell CPU – but didn’t go into details on this – as the figures were ‘insignificant’.
