By: Gary Johnson | March 11, 2010 | Leave a CommentA great new app that helps users get a good night sleep has hit the App Store. Proactive Sleep 1.2 for owners of iPhone and iPod Touch devices tracks sleep patterns, and gives back personalized feedback to improve the quality of sleep. Users can listen to soothing music to help them sleep, or to wake play a stimulating game.
Developers Proactive Life LLC, have based the app on sleep science as part of a healthy life style. The app tracks the homeostatic and circadian components of sleep based on when you set an alarm at night. Users get a display of their sleep patterns so the information may be used to improve sleep. There is a bunch of sleep and wake tools included in the app.
Winner of the $10,000 Schoofs prize for Innovation and creativity, Proactive Sleep has recently been reduced in price with a major update added. iPhone and iPod touch users with OS 3.0 or later can find Proactive Sleep 1.2 on the App Store for $2.99.
