New Google Earth Street View Imagery: Updated Areas
By: Peter Chubb | March 11, 2010 | 1 Comment
Google Earth has been busy with their Street View car cameras, as they have updated a number of areas – offering new imagery. Not only that, we mentioned in a recent post that the search engine giant now included almost all of Britain’s roads.
Google Earth Blog tells us that this substantial imagery update includes Hong Kong and Macau, Northern Ireland, Japan, Netherlands and Leicester and Leicestershire in the UK. There are two ways in which you can use StreetView – through Google Maps or Google Earth.
We noticed that there are a few European areas on this updated list, so Google are not slowing down in the amount of images they update following that recent EU ruling – stating that Google have to delete images on Street View after 6 months, not 12.
If you know of any other areas updated – then please let us know.
