Modern Warfare 2 DLC: CoD 4 Maps Could Be Coming

With DLC soon coming to Modern Warfare 2 there are plenty of rumors emerging suggesting what maps we may soon be receiving, it looks possible that we may see some Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare maps included in the game’s first map pack.

A recent tweet from MW2Blog reads “Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package trailer coming soon. Confirms CoD 4 maps!”, obviously this tweet does not directly say that CoD 4 maps are coming to Modern Warfare 2, however how else can you interpret it?

For the time being we will have to take this as a rumor as MW2Blog’s tweet has no apparent source, therefore we will have to keep you posted.

Stupid! If I want to play COD4 maps I'll play COD4, If this is true its complete laziness on Infinity Wards part and they should be ashamed of there selves for selling the same thing twice. At 25 million unique users they owe us new not refurbished old.

  I agree to an extent, but the change in kill streaks and weaponry may add a new dimension to old maps, perhaps if you brought maps for COD 4 you should get them at a discounted price for Modern Warfare 2

  Agreed. The only thing that IW can do worse to PS3 owners, other than making us wait longer, would sell us maps that most people already have for CoDMW.

I'm guessing that MW2Blog.com is using the recently "leaked" video as its source. Why? Because the video that was shown included gameplay footage on 2 COD4 maps: Crash and Overgrown.

It also showed 3 others named Complex, Storm, and something else I can't remember at the moment.

The reason that there has been some credence lended to this supposed "leak" is because Activision has been attempting to take down all the videos of it since the first day.

And, on top of that, the video that was shown was titled "Stimulus."

That's what I wanted ! I almost wanted to write to them to make sure they'd import old maps ! However I thought they wouldn't charge for them, or at least I hope it's like 400 points for 4 maps. I'd like to see Downpour, Bog, Crash, Showdown, Crossfire, Ambush and Vacant.

dude I think it would be pretty cool, if they could include some kool maps from cod 4, such as shipment, wet work, vacant, and maybe crash.

Creek, crash and overgrown are the most favourate maps but they will need to reworked on for greater detail in resolution and change things around eg the creek would need more huts too sniper from and more trees to hide and sniper from.
