Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Prequel Film Expected Before Game

By Jamie Pert - Mar 11, 2010

Details regarding Ghost Recon: Future Soldier have been pretty scarce so far, besides the impressive sounding invisibility blanket we know very little about the upcoming game, however we have recently heard that prior to the game launching Ubisoft will release a short prequel film.

According to HollywoodReporter this prequel film will be put together by Francois Alaux and Herve de Crecy, these two were responsible for the Academy Award winning short film Logorama.

It is thought that the Ghost Recon film will be a live-action film which lasts about 20 minutes, apparently the budget film for this project is up to $10 million, the film itself is being written by Tim Sexton.

It is getting pretty common for Ubisoft to release short films prior to their game releases, previously we have seen this with Assassin’s Creed II when they released Assassin’s Creed: Lineage.

We are unsure as to when this short film will launch, and exactly what it will consist of, however as the game is launching in the fall this year we should expect it perhaps a month before the game release. As we find out more we will keep you posted, for further details check out the link below.
