Dragon Age 2 (Xbox 360, PS3): Release date revealed already by BioWare 2?

By Alan Ng - Mar 11, 2010

We have some potentially major news for you Dragon Age fans, as developers BioWare could have revealed the release date for the sequel, Dragon Age 2 already – if a clever little teaser is to be believed.

As reported from VG247, customers who pick up the retail copy of ‘Awakening’ – the expansion to Dragon Age: Origins, will find a card inside their box, containing the date ‘Tuesday February 1st 2011’.

We know the game is already coming, because it was confirmed last month by EA and is due to have a proper unveiling at this year’s E3.

Of course, the date could mean something else entirely, but the release date would be nice. Let us know your thoughts on it. Do you have any other ideas to share?

There's no way they can develop a game of that magnitude only a year and a half after the original. Plus it took 3 or more years to develop. It's probably another expansion.

Dragon Age: Origins took a long time because they had to build the engine form the ground up. This isn't a expansion.
